Produce 300 small mezzotint prints for us, to be ready by summer 2025.

For runs of more than 50 prints, 100% print quality in mezzotint can no longer be guaranteed; therefore, multiple copper plates are required. The Seven Deadly Sins have been approved as the subject matter.

Belgian mezzotint artist Rita Vandevorst has already been the subject of an article in Graphia 2023-4. So with this artist portfolio dedicated to her, we deviate from the premise that only graphic artists whose work we have not yet highlighted in recent issues will be considered for the summer issue. The reasons are not only that for our latest portfolio we wanted to highlight a Belgian talent, but also that Rita’s work is at a particularly high level internationally and that in the last two years she has added quite some prints to her ex libris opus list. On top of that, she designed a series for Graphia in mezzotint dedicated to the seven deadly sins.

Each Graphia subscriber will find in this issue a copy of one of these seven prints, the result of months of work.
